About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager with a strong HR Business Partner (HRBP) focus to support our client’s dynamic and growing operations. This role will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, driving people initiatives that align with operational goals across multiple project sites. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in industrial relations, talent management, and HR strategy within the construction or infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to department heads and site managers, providing guidance on workforce planning, performance management, and organizational development.
  • Lead end-to-end talent acquisition for corporate and site-based roles, from sourcing to onboarding, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
  • Manage industrial and employee relations, including union engagements, dispute resolution, and compliance with Malaysian labour regulations.
  • Design and implement performance management systems, employee engagement programs, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Oversite HR operations, including compensation, benefits administration, and site-specific allowances.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence across all levels of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in an HR Business Partner or HR Manager role, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or related industries.
  • Proven expertise in Malaysian Industrial Relations and employment law. Experience in unionized settings is essential.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
