About Our Client:
- Our client is a public listed company that specialises in the construction & design for high rise commercial & residential buildings.
- The company is registered under category G7 with the Construction Industry Development Board which allows the company to tender for any Government and private construction contracts without any limitation on size and value of contracts.
Job Descriptions:
- Manage assigned project(s) to ensure that the project completes on time, within budget and specified quality and safety requirements for handing-over to the clients.
- Lead, plan, direct and/or coordinate with the entire project team (internal & external) on activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities and systems towards the successful completion of the project.
- Manage resources, such as financial, manpower, materials and machineries productively and efficiently within the budget.
- Review, monitor progress and provide support to all Departmental Head and/or site staff.
- Ensure smooth progress of the project through close liaison or attend meetings with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and relevant authorities.
- Ensure that the Company’s Quality and Safety Management System are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure standards are complied with when preparing for award schedule of sub- contractors or suppliers and call quotation, conduct negotiation and recommendation leading to award.
- Ensure total completion of project and obtain the Certification of Practical Completion.
- Ensure all final accounts are closed.
- Ensure that the project is completely handed over and Certificate of Making Good Defects is obtained.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent.
- 15 years’ working experience in high rise commercial building and mixed development projects with a contract sum exceeding RM150 million and proven track record of completing projects within budget, time, quality and safety.
- Essential exposure in multi-disciplinary works within a project, including handling project planning, budget and cost control, safety and quality system implementation.
- Possess good understanding of design, detailing, building regulations, project implementation and tender processes.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with key stakeholders, consultants, sub-contractors and supplier.
- Essential knowledge and experience in ISO and QLASSIC implementation in construction industry.
