- Serves clients globally – in sectors such as oil & gas / energy (geoscience).
- Operates globally in countries such as Malaysia, Australia, USA, UK, Abu Dhabi and Middle East.
Responsibilities:
Big-picture Windows topics, such as:
- Windows distributions (maintaining current and evaluating future)
- Boot / root images
- Kernels and drivers
- Deploying updates in a timely fashion
- Installation, maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows Server infrastructure.
- Day-to-day problem-solving and support for production and cluster environment.
- Be part of the worldwide IT team that involves in performance monitoring and fine tuning.
- Proactive and reactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- General IT assistance, such as: Windows, MacOS, Linux desktops and laptops.
- Improve system reliability by improving Windows issue tracking, resolution, and prevention.
- Define the OS requirements and procedures for running software on customer equipment, and assist with those deployments.
- Serve as level-three support for otherwise unresolvable customer issues.
- Periodically providing on-call support.
- Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc projects and related duties as and when required.
